How do I enjoy books?

Usually on my back on the sofa or in bed (and sometimes in the bathtub or on the porcelain throne).

I do have the CD's from Ring of Fire and Mission of Honor and will read (usually in plain text) when away from my library.

But in general, Senior Chief says it pretty well.

If you are out on a hike, out in the boondocks far from the civilized world and you are in trouble and your battery is dead on your electronic garbage a blank page from a book can be used to wipe your butt, start a fire to keep warm, or to start a fire to signal for help or to cook any prey or to boil water.

Each to his own... I like books and I have had more than one treasured book rebound...

I don't mean to imply that I only read on my tablet. I have 42 shelf feet of hardback books, and 24 shelf feet of paperbacks, and my wife has 78 shelf feet of hard and soft back books on religion as philosophy. We have already turned the master bedroom into a library, and have had to expand into the remainder of the house - what's that saying - I gave my books their own room, now they want the whole house. The rule we are currently working on is that to bring a new paper book into the house, you have to get rid of one - it has slowed the accumulation of paper.

Usually with great difficulty, because when I sit on the sofa to open a book one or other of our miniature dachshunds will climb onto my lap. Sometimes both!

Usually in Mass Market Paperback form unless they never come out in anything but larger paperbacks or hardcover form. I prefer books to e-readers whenever possible, and I can rarely afford hardcovers. Also I usually prefer the mass market paperbacks because they take less shelf space and are easier to carry. I do some reading in bed or when watching tv with mom during commercials but I also do a lot in the car and in waiting rooms, restaurants, and such.
