You also have the scandal of Prince Michael Winton. Sorta!! A lot of his peers (both social and busybodies) got their panties in twist over his marriage to Judith Newland. Remember Prince Michael married a commoner who had committed multiple major crimes. IIRC Conspiracy to commit murder, kidnapping, hijacking and theft, she hijacked, kidnapped and theft. Plus was a unwed single parent.

On that line, but nowhere as close, was his father Prince Roger marrying Angelique Adcock, the "poor little beggar maid". Seems like it runs in the family. |

Sure, there's always going to be some level of suspicion on the commoner, that they're a social climber. Not always: Justin Zyrr appears to have been accepted just fine. Angelique Adcock and her family had arrived from Maslow penniless. The "Little beggar maid" article was taken out of context, but it was used as kindle to stoke the fire against Roger's build-up campaign. |
