I love this song. The last verse "the Treecats signed Let's Dance and the Mesans said Of Sh......" Had me laughing. Great work

Did Shannon finally get ship time in this to command some ships on an easy trip to Manticore post-treaty (you know with the "Oops")? This line below from the original song makes me think of her. Our lady of communications won a ship-wide bet By getting into the planet's main communications net... No, I don't think Shannon would do what the com officer in the song did, but hacking is completely in character for Shannon, even as an Vice Admiral, although she wouldn't necessary have done it in a while. I could still see her doing it with some Mantie hardware post treaty. Part of the Wikipedia page for mustang officers, about why they were called that. My notes are in bold like this! A mustang, after being captured, can be tamed and saddle broken but it always has a bit of wild streak (could describe Shannon), and can periodically revert to its old ways unexpectedly and therefore the owner needs to keep an eye on it at all times(Oh, yes for Shannon! (Case in point: "Oops")). However, since a mustang was formerly a feral and free animal, it may very well be smarter, more capable and have a better survival instinct than thoroughbreds ( var DescribesShannonForaker=True; (I'm a coder sometimes, so I had to write that in code format)). |
