How to Clean a Shark APEX UpLight Vacuum: User’s Guide 2021
So, you just got yourself a brand-new Shark APEX UpLight? That’s great news! It is an excellent household vacuum that can certainly keep your house clean from dust and dirt for years to come. However, like every other household product, your APEX UpLight has to be given regular maintenance in order to last a long time. The most basic maintenance job that you can do is to clean it. So, in this guide and Shark apex uplight review, we’ll show you exactly how to do that. How to Clean APEX UpLight’s Dust Cup Since the vacuum has a bagless design, it comes with a detachable and reusable dust cup. You should empty the cup after every cleaning session. Doing this will ensure that the cup won’t develop bad odors, mold, or other nasty stuff. You will also be able to extend the lifespan of the vacuum significantly, as well. Step 1: Detach the Dust Cup After unplugging the power cord from the vacuum unit, find the two dust cup release latches at the back of the vacuum. Slide them upward at the same time and the cup will be detached. Step 2: Empty the Main Compartment Hold the cup by its top handle and move it over to your trash can. Hover the bottom of the cup over the top of the trash can. Whenever you’re ready, press the release button at the bottom of the cup. Once pressed, the bottom trap door will swing open and release the cup’s contents. One small tip: lower the bottom of the cup as deep as possible into the trash can. Doing this will minimize the amount of kicked-up dust, which could be very unpleasant if you’re allergic. Step 3: Clean the Mesh Screen A second component that has to be cleaned within the Shark UpLight vacuum’s dust cup is the mesh screen. The screen collects large debris pieces and retains them in the cup. Press the top release button and lift the handle up. This will expose the mesh screen. You can use a clean cloth to pick out the debris. Alternatively, you can turn the cup upside down and pour the stuck debris into the trash can. Step 4: Return the Dust Cup Put the cup back to its slot on the vacuum unit. When it’s in the right position, the locking mechanism will engage and hold the cup in place. You don’t have to do much else. How to Clean APEX UpLight’s Filtering System The filtering system of the Shark apex uplight duoclean handles all of the tiny particles floating in the air of your home. Such particles may include pollen, microscopic dust, dust mites, airborne bacteria and viruses. This system consists of two parts: a pre-motor component (a foam and a felt filter) and a post-motor component (HEPA filter). Both of them have to be cleaned regularly for the filtration system to work well. Step 1: Uncover the Pre-motor Filter & Wash Detach the dust cup. You will find the foam filter within. Take this part out and set it on the table. When you take out the foam filter, you will also find a filter frame. Within this filter frame is the secondary felt filter. Clean both parts with cold water. Leave them to dry for at least 24 hours somewhere with plenty of air. Step 2: Uncover the HEPA Filter & Wash The HEPA filter is seated in a different compartment than the pre-motor filters. At the front of the vacuum, near the bottom of the dust cup, you will find a cover latch. Press the latch and pull off the filter cover. Within, you will find a small tab at the front of the filter cover. Push this tab and the HEPA filter will be released. Take the filter and wash it with cold water. Similar to the pre-motor filters, let it dry for at least 24 hours before putting it back into the vacuum. Conclusion Go through this routine at least once every couple of months to ensure that your Shark apex uplight Lift-Away DuoClean is always at the top of its game! Nope, we’re still trying to coordinate everything.

Does never work for you? Because it seems to work for everyone involved. Maybe I’ll be surprised one day...
