It likely didn't "disappear", it just isn't focused on anymore because of the way the story is progressing. I'm of course assuming you speak of the Midgard star nation.

Midgard the third leg of the Asgerd junction.
Asgerd had been the only other multiple junction
on any of the maps ( that I have seen ).

Midgard isn't really a star nation unto itself, it is the area around the afore mentioned third leg of the Asgard junction. It has a group "recently" populated planets, some by Asgard.

Similarly, Matapan has disappeared from view. It too is a junction leg in a area with several "newly" colonized worlds. Manticore does not own any of these worlds, but holds a "trucal States" type arrangement with them.

These areas are just not in the story focus, so are kept off to focus the map.
