Instead, I have to ask myself... How would the Honorverse look if it was adapted into a TV Series by a company such as HBO. Just imagine the Honorverse as a new Game of Thrones type show.. Each season could entail two full books in a 10-12 episode season and allow A HUGE amount of detail to be included. Non-readers could actually 'see' what we have read in the books and become fans, while the amount of imagery that 5-6 40+ minute episodes could give to each book would be a huge increase over 'just' a movie. AND, with both split off series, this could be a TV series that runs for 8-10 years once all is said and done...
Thoughts?
Evergreen Studios?
Not enough random SEX to keep the average coolade drink fixated on the whole series. The two love scenes between Honor/Paul or Honor/Whitehave would be just boring to those have not read the book series.
Wars in space are not bloody enough to keep the aveage teenager interested. Vary little one on one fighting. In space no one hears you scream, you just become a frozen corps floating in darkness along with the broken remains of your ship. One body among many... Boring boring boring.
David's words are what makes the story interesting enough to keep me rivited and rereading the prior books as I wait for the next installment.
Movie people KILL good books. In MHO movie people ruined the chance to make the Hobbit and Lotr a great movie by adding stuff that never happened... It happened to another series I liked by Tom Clancy; i.e. Clear and Present Danger and The Sum of All Fears. Two perfectly great stories ruined by movieland who could not follow a great selling book that sold more copies and checked out more times from public libraries and read by more people than will ever sit down and waste their money watching a movie that is not true to the book, the author, or the books fan base.
Do not get me started on True Blood which is supposed to be based on the Stookie Stackhouse series by C Harris.
Please no movie or tv series unless you follow the book!!!
sorry, will get off the box.... no fan of movieland.
