We know from the books like the escape from Hades / Hell that counter grav can be used to counter grav effects of acceleration. Lowering 200G to about 5G. We also have established that a Compensator can't be stacked with counter grav for some reason to allow an extra boost to the counter grav to allow for even higher acceleration rates.
Say Rolands 624G 80% compensator then add in 200 G more with Counter grav reducing that to only 5G, correct? We do know that counter grav can be built into factories and used to move things to orbit from planets. Or about on a planet in a factory or the like. But can we use multiple layers of Counter Grav? Say have a 40G counter grav within a 40G counter grav zone. This would give a person in the second zone a 1G feel for a 1601G acceleration. A Shrike LAC can use a 40G counter grav launch option to keep the people from being squished on launch from a CLAC so the ship can survive the 40G acceleration, plus we know that various other devices can survive other forms of massive acceleration including missile that get a 10,000G? boost out of the tubes before raising their wedge and Missile compensator. Plus Ghost rider and other drones having 3000G acceleration rates without compensator's. So a properly designed Shrike should be able to survive a high G load with a stacked Counter Grav for the occupants. (one counter grav mechanism built wholly within the other Counter Grav zone) Even using a Wedge without compensator, one would be able to not only launch at any speed an LAC from a CLAC, but be able to accelerate at a 1601 G acceleration rate and have a Super fast LAC. One would also have the extra Compensator space for the second Counter Grav needed space if you go rid of it all together. ________________________________________

Given that it isn't done, and that it would be terribly useful and (counter-grav being the commonplace tech that it is) cheap - we can infer that it's not possible to stack it. |

I guess B does answer the question. Thanks for the link. As for A what do you mean? Maybe I should have said gravity plates, could be why my search for counter grav didn't turn up the noted pearl section. ________________________________________
